- Details: Ugadi is the
celebration of a New Year for the people of Andhra Pradesh and
Karnataka. It is the Chaitra Sudhdha Paadyami, or the
first day of the lunar year. This generally occurs between
March and April within the Solar calendar. Join the Hindu
Center in observing this event. There will be musical
entertainment and a cultural program, followed by dinner.

- Details: The Sindhi
community celebrates the festival of Chetti Chand in honor of
the birth of Ishtadeva Uderolal, popularly known as Jhulelal,
the Patron Saint of the Sindhis. The Sindhi New Year will
be celebrated on March 25th at the Hindu Center.
Festivities include: Jhulelal Bharaat, puja, bhajans,
enterainment, and dinner.

Mahavir Jayanti
- Date/Time: Saturday, March 31 (8:00am)

Vihar Hall
- Details: The Jain
community of Charlotte will celebrate the birth of Bhagwan
Mahavir on March 31st and invites the entire Hindu community to
attend. Darshan will begin at 8am and will be followed by
puja and arti at 10am.

- Date/Time: Friday, March 30 (6:00pm)

Vedanta Hall
- Details: Join the
Hindu Center in celebrating the birth of Lord Ram, seventh
avatar of Lord Vishnu and the son of King Dasharath. The
celebration will entail the reading of the entire Ramayan epic.
Reading will begin on March 30th at 6:00pm and continue until
March 31st at 6:00pm. Following this program, Hanuman
Jayanti will be celebrated and followed by bhajans and
mahaprashad.

Holi & Dhuleti

Outside Vihar Hall
- Details: Many
gathered to celebrate Holi on the evening of March 3rd.
Holika Dahan was observed, followed by the serving of light
refreshments. The following day, over 300 people gathered
to celebrate Dhuleti. Despite the cold weather and
swirling winds, everyone enjoyed playing with the colors and
welcomed the coming of Spring. Idli, sambhar, khichdi, and
pizza were served to keep everyone warm.
